The cottage on the canal is the perfect place to relax after a day at the Beach. Located at 617 6th St, it is an easy walk to Bethany, a short car trip away- we have 2 Resident Parking Passes, an easy bike ride, or take the Bethany Trolley: the stop is just up the street! It is quiet, here on the canal. You can spend your early mornings on the sun porch, watching Blue Heron fish the canal and Hummingbirds, Goldfinch and Catbirds feed on the garden flowers. The cottage is beautifully decorated, spacious and open. The great room, anchored by the island kitchen, opens to a dining and living room. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed; the second bedroom a king-sized bed; the third guest room, two twins and the living room sofa pull-out bed features a double mattress. The spacious canal-side deck with a picnic table and Weber gas grill is the perfect place for dinner. While the meal cooks, children can crab in the canal; and bring your kayaks or paddle boards to explore the Salt Pond- and beyond! The driveway can accommodate 4 cars. There are 3 bedrooms, a pull-out sleeper, and 2 full bathrooms. The cottage offers a dishwasher, microwave, Weber gas Grill, a smart TV with DVD player in the great room; a TV/VHS combo in the master bedroom, WIFI, washer, dryer, outdoor shower, central AC and heating and a library filled with quirky books.
